  1. I am not 12 Magnus! Okay. I just turned 13! :p

And thanks for the long podcast! :)

I Googled, “Audible aesthetic”, and the only hits I got were about some headphone company.

I am a Mass Effect fan. And I did get the DLC. I really enjoyed it and I'm glad that she had a lot of dialogue. Not just a cameo. Yvonne was great. And while we're on the subject of the Mass Effect DLC, I just gotta say, one of the new characters, the girl, has the worst American accent. I think its worse than Portis' accent from SPY.

Speaking of SPY, the UK version. It looks like it wont be coming back for a 3rd series. So sad. I'll miss The Examiner the most I think. Sorry for the little tangent. But, since we both like the show I thought I would say that.

Finally! So long Furycast. It just only seems right to end it at episode 69. I look forward to hearing what you name the new one. :)

    P.S. Sven isn't real?!?! =O

    2. The lead actor, and other UK news sites, reported it. It sucks, i know. Maybe the American re-make can help fill the void. Lol.

Here's actually a link to one of those sites:

    3. The American remake will suck. It is guaranteed.

    4. Yeah. They almost always do. *Sigh*

    5. Damn, that sucks. Gonna miss it (especially The Examiner). They're quitting while they're ahead.

Yeah, the US version will suck.

    6. If they can get the same actor to play The Examiner in the US re-make that would be the best thing ever. But even then, the show might still suck. Ah well.

  2. The last GOT book is "Dream of Spring" (at least as of now). I'm looking forward to the new season as I'm not reading along in the books at the moment, no time right now for that many pages. I wasn't impressed by the new Superman trailer and don't understand any of the excitement around that movie- to me it looks as bad as the last attempt. You made some good points about "Girls" at the end. This season hasn't seemed quite as good to me as last season but there were definitely some good moments. Also the actress is Jemima Kirke, who plays Jessa, and I thought she did some great work in the episode before last where she went to visit her father.

  3. Temple of Doom was not the first PG-13 movie. The parental outcry of Temple of Doom getting a PG rating was what caused them to make the PG-13 rating in the first place. Red Dawn was the first movie that earned the PG-13 rating.

    1. True. If we have to split hairs, "Red Dawn" was the first film released with a PG-13 rating (8/10/84). Technically, the first film to earn the rating was "The Flamingo Kid" but wasn't released until later that year (12/21/84).

Apparently, the parental outcry wasn't just for Temple, but also Poltergeist, Gremlins and Clash of the Titans as well.

Thank you intrawebs for making me look smart.

    2. It was because of Temple the rating was created when Spielberg suggested it. So, even though it may not have been assigned the rating first, it exists because of it.

SO FUCK OFF! You don't pay for this podcast!

  4. HAHAH how did you know I call Jimmy to get the Cliff's Notes?? You are good. I am definitely guilty of fwding to the parts I want to listen to, I will admit ... and I don't always listen to *all* of the podcasts hahaha. I'm listening to the first part of this right now but I will likely skip through the Game of Thrones part, and we'll see about the Star Wars and Star Trek parts. ;-)

    2. Sheeeit guess the jig is up! Gonna have to come up with a new plan.

And Magnus it's funny you mention how hideous Seth Rogen is because I've always found him to be oddly cute hahaha. I mean he goes up and down in weight a lot which means his looks change a lot, but I just remember when I first saw him in 40 Year Old Virgin, I was like, weirdly attracted to him. That was the first thing I ever noticed him in because I hadn't watched Freaks and Geeks yet. I guess beauty really is in the eye of the juicy panty beholder.

    3. I could totally get you... if you weren't married.

    4. LMAO it's possible and due to my twisted fantasies I'd convince you to dye your hair lighter and get an afro perm, and adopt a really goofy/obnoxious laugh. And eventually you'd get sick of the Seth shenanigans and you'd follow your "true destiny" (per Baily and myself of course) to go find Wendy and run off into the sunset with her bwaha. :)

    5. HA I dunno why it's so fun shipping you two. Although it was a lot easier when she was still on the east coast. :-P

    6. I have no idea why people ship us. I mean, I love the girl to death but we are as platonic of friends as two heterosexuals of the opposite sex can get.

  5. Just my 2 cents I agree you should most definitely keep GeekFurious, I think it's a really good name. Descriptive of the site content (and broad enough to make the adjustments you want to make), and memorable. And whoops I'm listening to the GoT part now hahah.
