  1. I am listening now. So far, I beg to differ with you on the 21 Jump Street trailer ... I actually thought it looked surprisingly funny. I'll have to check out the movie at some point. But I'm all about Hunger Games this weekend.

  2. Sports talk: I have no idea what any of this means.

Prometheus: Looks interesting enough to make me want to see more. But I'm not a huge expert on the Alien movies.

The idea of Mitt Romney winning the presidency ... NO PLEASE don't make me think about that.

Religion/Politics: Of course people should feel free to practice whatever wacko religion they want, but that doesn't mean we should use that to drive our country's politics and policies and all that crap. THAT is where it gets scary as hell.

Gay Marriage: A - fucking - men. People are assholes. LIVE AND LET LIVE PEOPLE!! Do you think the married gay couple down your street is going to come and attack and rape your children at night or something?? Why are people so stupid?

Religion: Like you guys, I was raised religious. I was raised as a Methodist, and my entire family (mom's side) is still Methodist. But when I was about 18, I started to get other points of view from friends and from college classes, and I took some steps outside myself and examined it objectively. My conclusion: it's bullshit. My family continues to be very sad about my conclusion. I'm reading the bible right now and they are very happy about that ... but so far this thing is appalling. I'm still on the Old Testament, but ... at this point I have no clue how anyone could read this thing and NOT want to run away screaming.

Tenacious D: HAHAHA I love that sketch.

Good thing I survived this podcast, because I am a massive pussy.

  4. In regards to you losing your conservative listeners because of your religion remarks: You had conservative listeners?

Seriously, what you said was mild compared to some of Bill Maher's statements on the subject.

    1. Oh, I definitely have conservative listeners and readers.

Conservatives aren't as stuck up about things as most liberals would think. Or at least many people I've known who consider themselves conservatives. It's kind of just a designation they choose to have because they look down on a certain mentality they don't want to be associated with and think somehow makes them better people.

However, they can get very touchy about religion.

    2. I agree that conservatives come in many stripes.

It's interesting to me that non-religious people tend to be more tolerant of being around religious people and subject matter than religious people being tolerant of hearing the views of the non-religious.

I guess my tolerance part of being in the minority.
