Playstation Store is LIVE!

The official Playstation blog has announced that the storefront is finally open!  New content is available!  Your freebies are.... not!

According to the blog, they are still "testing" how to screw you over on that side.  They probably intend on making you jump through a few hoops, catch the candy-cane rabbit in the marmalade river and score 10 million in the new Playstation Home game "9,999,999."

Expect the Playstation Store to have several updates over the next few days as the system catches up to all the content they couldn't release over the last month plus.

  1. They can't get anything right. I try to download the infamous2 demo and I get an 80023103 error. Everything in the store is super slow and nothing will download.

  2. I was having a similar problem when I clicked on the demo from the ad menu. Instead, go into the store itself and find the inFamous 2 demo on the list. It worked when I did that.

  3. That did the trick. Thanks!

  4. PSN store is very slow right now due to everyone hitting the network. Might as well wait until later today to try to grab anything. I time out every few minutes.

  5. I don't know the significance, but when I get only the "Rate" and "Download" options on a demo, then I can download without any problems. If I get THREE options (Rate, Download, and Add to Cart) then I time out.

So far I grabbed inFamous2 and Red Faction: Armageddon demos that way.

  6. I just noticed it too. I wonder if choosing add to cart first and then backing out will have the same effect. Going to try it out if the system lets me.

  7. Add to cart doesnt do it either. Same timeout issue.

  8. Looks like, for now at least, you are going to have to attempt to download, fail... exit out of the store... go back in... check to see that the icon on the demo in the store shows you have already downloaded it (which you haven't since you timed out), and then go back in. Now you should only see two options (Rate and Download) and this time it should work.

Granted, the store is timing out a lot so some of you may not make it in far enough to do that.
